Field trips with your family are an excellent way to exercise your brain while having fun and creating family memories.  I'll try to add to this page when I discover new activities and ideas.  Please feel free to let me know of any you discover.  Under files, you will find:

 

1) A travel log for any field trip you take that does not have specific requirements or forms.

2) Separate forms for California Adventures and Disneyland extra credit.  They might be a little out of date, since things change throughout the year.  I updated DCA right before the new Soaring, so ...

3) Science extra credit information.  Includes many different places, with activity ideas and websites, when available.

 

Here are 2 extra credit opportunities coming up.  Sorry for the late notice on the Coastal Cleanup, but I told the kids about it on the first week of school and the information has been on the board since then.

 

** Coastal Cleanup Day is tomorrow (September 17, 2016).  Go on to Healthebay.org for more information.  Most sites start clean up at 9 am.  I know the local sites are: Abalone Cove, Hermosa Beach Pier, Lunada Bay, RAT Beach/Malaga Cove, Redondo Beach (Tower Ainsworth), Torrance Beach, and White Point.  Bring proof of attendance.  They usually have a form at the registration table.

 

**  Water Harvest Festival at Edward C Little Water Facility in El Segundo.  I've always been impressed by the number of interesting organizations who are present at this festival.  There are free tours of the water recycling facility, as well as other activities for children.  October 22, from 10-2.  Go on to westbasin.org for more information.
