Welcome Voyagers!

I hope you are enjoying your summer break! In a few short weeks, we will be returning to the classroom and to a routine of learning and exploring. 

With that spirit, I welcome you to the 2023-24 school year! I am thrilled to be returning for my third year as the Vista Grande Principal and I am pleased to be able to welcome you! Vista Grande is the home of the Voyagers. True to the definition of a voyager, our Voyager students are on a journey. They are explorers, curious and inquisitive, and they take part in their own learning.

Vista Grande students also focus on being kind and earning SAIL (Showing respect, Acting responsibly, Including others, and Listening and thinking) tickets during their learning. Thanks to our PTA, we are able to provide our students with outstanding programs to reach students’ many interests. As an example, we recently brought back our beloved Run Club, which is a before school program. We also brought back our talent show and will be focusing on organizing and executing a fun and exciting parent social fundraiser for our school's needs. 

At Vista Grande, we foster that exploratory spirt and help guide our students through their academic pursuits. We know that student are always learning, and we focus on our students’ social-emotional knowledge as well. Vista Grande is an amazing community filled with professional and dedicated teachers and staff, curious and kind students, and caring and supportive parents and families. We seek to build community and support and we value kindness and curiosity in our learning.
