good morning this is Tuesday video you did not have to work remember that we're still working on perimeter and area of rectangles perimeter is the distance around the outside of a safe and area is inside surface multiply the length times the width if the area of a rectangle problems starting with number one for the area of a square where is a type of rectangle always multiply numbers 959 81 centimeter squared in the area of the square is 81 square centimeters area of the area so this we did some problems parameter where they were giving us aside and we have to figure out what the missing side was the same kind of problem but it's area so we're not adding up size we would be multiplying for area we multiply the length times so we're going to use that formula to help us figure out the missing side they gave us the length the length is 8 they gave us the area is 56 into this formula I know the area is 50 I know the rent is a 48-year x undefeated put a? Sometime no number times what gives you 56 divided by 8 equals of course 7 the rectangle is 7 by saying length times width 8 * 7 is 50 60 area 856
