okay good morning this is your review video for the assessment that is being posted today and you need to take it by tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. it's going to be already taken 10 questions and there's a link posted on Ted Leo and I will also email the link to use one of those to get the assessment surrender you are welcome to watch this multiple times you can pause it and take notes if you want to from what I write down if you want to use those notes or anything do you want to do with this to help you do well on the assessment so one of the things is going to be on the assessment is something that was on her last week too but we're still working on it so that is types of angles types of angle n d classes angle based on their degree measure how big they are how many degrees they have definition or a hint at what type of angle it is and you'll have to take whether it's right acute obtuse or whatever so excuse is going to be any angle that has 90 degrees an acute angle is anything that's under 90 so if it's a 75-degree angle is acute if it is 89 degree angle is acute 2 degrees is an acute angle civil right angle is the one that looks like the corner of a square it has exactly 90 degrees an obtuse angle is the one that is greater 90 degrees 180° angle but it's not so that it looks like a straight line J&J straight angle and a straight angle is exactly what it sounds like it looks like a straight line it is exactly 180° angle and then finally the last and reflex angles are those one where we parked outside angle cuz we're looking at the bigger angle and it is going to be greater 180° so really quick if I just do it smaller than a right angle is there a right angle to just look like the corner of a square or a rectangle you'll see often and put the little square in it some more open than a right angle looks like a straight line we see an acute angle but we know we're talking about the bigger angle on the outside so it might look like that curb on the outside that's a reflex angle there are only two measuring angles questions where the protractor is already on top of the angle so the hard part of getting it lined up is done for you you still need to read the protractor carefully and the first thing you would do with that one looks like this isn't one that'll be on there but it's simple as one you're going to have to decide am I using the inner or the outer scale and you make that decision side of the angle I see the side of the angle is signed up with this 0 which means I'm going to stick with this scale 0 10 20 30 looks like it's coming out right at 50° so it might not match to the degree that you can pick the one that's closest to what you think it is 50 degrees the first thing I do is I think inner or outer scale let me see here's a side of the angle scale volume all the way 90 not even all the way to 95. So I'm thinking maybe 93° remember on the assessment I put numbers that are super close together all right when we started looking at Full Circle protractor I'm talking about how we've been using the hundred and eighty degrees protractor but a full circle has 360 degrees so I know these numbers second of a circle still see it has a zero because that's where you would start but if you travel all the way around the circle it says 360 a circle a full circle all the way around 360° you have probably heard someone full circle so. We'll have 360 degrees. turn or a full rotation parts of a turn so it might say how many degrees are in a half what is a half turn mean after needs are going Halfway Around the circle so here I am + 0 if I make a turn I'm going to go fast I am halfway around where did I stopped at all we are at 180 degrees which makes sense because half of 360 is 180 degrees a break it down into quarters or fourth you can take a circle and break it into four parts of a circle 1/4 of the circle so here we are at the prophets narrow return 1/4 of the way around they have this going here we are turn zero 90° say this is also 90° but as I was turning that I notice they counted in the other direction counterclockwise this is 92 because 360 - 90 HP 7 1/4 turn is 90° 1/4 is 9 then think about 4th 90 + 92 + 90 + 92/4 2/4 furnace is also equal to 1 and 2/4 is an equivalent fraction to 1/4 2/4 of a turn is 180 3/4 of a turn so from the 0 92 forces 180 we add another 90 degrees 70 / 3/4 turn 270° 90 + 90 + 9270 degrees is 3/4 of a turn one more for that we would make it all the way around the circle circle plus 90 Plus 90 plus 9 equals 360 degrees couple questions that ask you how many degrees are in a half turn how many degrees are in 1/4 how many degrees are in 3/4 turn down if you want to but in the directions of the questions you're going to notice that it says to find the angle measure that you're being using a protractor that had questions like these wear instead of measuring with a protractor you're going to use the numbers that you've been given the figure out the answer to the question the right here we have adjacent angles angles next to each other this terrified might be what is the measure of angle for now what is the measure of EFG what is the measure of EFG while and I just told you don't use a protractor so how are you going to figure that out how are you going to figure out EST use the number that you're giving your given the measure of the two angles so if you want to get the total for ESG parts and add them together 23 + 51 CVS is going to be 74 degrees there may be one where you're given instead of being given both parts that you need to add together to get the big angle you may be given the big angle one of the parts and then you're trying to figure out the missing angle so he asks y z x y z measures 152 degrees angle is 150 Ross's in Tulsa this part of the angle WYD is 57 how are we going to get this unknown Parts over here we know the whole line go to the side we're going to subtract so we're going to do 152 the big angle minus the Part 57 to figure out the missing angle and we got 95 so our answer 95 degrees C a couple problems that look like that they have these adjacent angles and it says don't use a protractor use the numbers that you're given all right so you can pause whatever you want to do but when you're finished with it
