"Gold Fever" Hits The World!

hi kids you've been learning about striking it rich and the Gold Rush of California and 18-49 so I wanted to do a quick review and maybe tell you something new you recall it was John and James Marshall who were the first because Sutter wanted to build a nail and when he was building his mail in August of 1847 They Came Upon some gold in the river and it was clear that it was gold and it wasn't anything else mixed together so what happened music I doubt and as soon as that news got out it hit the world so it wasn't just the East people from the East but people from all over came and so I wanted to show you a little bit of a mouth that we haven't looked at yet and a lot of what happened is people got Gold Fever because they were getting misinformation they weren't really getting the true information about what was happening so here's what are mouth we've been talking about people who came from the East and they came either around Cape Horn or they went through to cut the shortcut at the Panama land they came over land but what you maybe didn't know was the people from Europe also came they had to come to the east coast and then they had to decide which of those route and there's a lot of people that came from Australia and from and the people that came from Asia had a really long way across the Pacific Ocean but they could get directly to San Francisco so there were several ways that people hit their Gold Fever one of the things I wanted to remind you of is that if you came on the Overland Trail you probably started in a wagon train or even just want a horse with all the things that you needed but going the whole way around across the are United States your first may not have survived which means then you were pretty much basically on foot so long people died in route they never even quite made it to California but the ones that did I come from a long way distance to show you
