Hi fourth graders in chapter 14 the Prospectors you're going to read about stuff yep sub the borough who does not want to be ridden and he kicks also on Friday social studies you're going to be reading online an article about donkeys so I'm going to tell you right now there is a little bit of difference between a donkey and a burro can look that up but most of the miners used one of those Hardy type of animals and I want to tell you a teeny bit about it so number are California Ranchos who was living in California to time the Mexican people and these people who got their shows some of them really knew a lot about the land so some of these African people became what we call a mule tour it says mule trains and mule tirs in the mule tears were first at packing the mules and what I found out is that they would hook them together in these long lines and kind of like the Iditarod they put in the lead a mule who was calm it was usually a female and it was a mutual that new the trail really well and a lot of the mules they had to put blindfolds on the mules so that they would follow the lead and the way they did is they put a bell on the mules neck and the rest of the new Mills follow along and they really loaded them up they need to take all these supplies because none of the Prospectors had anything with them they would come from the East we needed the things that they would have to build their long Tom's or the other things that they have so this week for learning about donkeys mules and Rose and it was a real thing the early Prospectors needed the pack mules who were very strong and to keep them from bucking and pitching they actually did put the blindfold on them so I hope you all learn a little more about the mules donkeys and Burros that helps the 49ers okay see you later
