Reminders for the week...

Dear Parents of Vista Grande 1st grade students,
Greetings! I am your child's music teacher, and I am happy to announce that we are currently having a great time in class working on a musical presentation titled- "The Vista Grande Love ❤️Show"
Please invite family and friends to join us -
Date- May 13
Time- doors open 9:30am
Length of performance- 9:35am - !0:05am
Where-Vista Grande MPR
Attire- dressy performance clothes
A few Reminders...
- Please try to wear your designated color for the 100th day of school tomorrow. The kids are going to have lots of fun doing 100-themed activities with their 1st and 2nd grade classmates. If you are unable to find a shirt in your child's color, PLEASE DON'T BUY ONE! :)
- We will be celebrating Valentine's Day on Friday. We will not have a formal party, but the kids are welcome to pass out cards/treats to their classmates. There are 26 children in our class. Please be sure to bring something for everyone if your child plans to pass anything out.
- Don't forget...the sweetheart dance is this Thursday at 6pm!
- Continue to bring in your donations for the Trader Joe's auction basket. I will be sure to pass the donations on to our amazing room moms. I hope you will join the Vista Grande parents and staff at this fun night out for our kids. I'll be there!

A few reminders for the week...
-Please join us on Thursday for Art At Your Fingertips! We can always use lots of helping hands! Setup at 12:30! Thank you to Amy Herrschaft for being our docent for this project!
-Thursday is also Ruby's night for Vista Grande.
-1-29 Yellow Ribbon Week Community Picnic (Feel free to join your child for lunch)
2-13 Sweetheart Dance (6-8 in MPR, $10.00/person)

A few reminders:
1. Please make sure to get permission slips and money to me by Friday!
2. I am still looking for 1 parent to join us for the field trip. Please email if you are available.
3. Don't forget to bring in a new, unwrapped toy for the Team Kids Toy Drive.
4. Friday is pajama and class party day! Please join us for the party from 10:50-12:00. It should be lots of fun! School dismisses at 12:00 on Friday!

December Reminders
A few special dates and reminders to get us through 2019:
-The holiday shop is open all week for the kids to buy little presents for their friends and family. If your child would like to make purchases, please remind them not to share money and to keep their money in a safe place.
-Next week we are collecting unwrapped toys for the spark of love toy drive. We are hoping to make the holidays brighter for the less fortunate.
12/18/19 Daphnes SOS fundraiser in Torrance. The restaurant will donate 20% to our school.
-12/20/19 we will be having a class party at 10:50 in our classroom.
-12/20/19 Minimum Day dismissal at 12:00

A few reminders...
-The kids will be visiting the library tomorrow (Thursday). Please have them bring their books to exchange.
-Please complete your book orders by Friday so that I can place the order. I want to make sure the books arrive before winter break.
-Thank you so much for making time to come to your child's conference. It has been wonderful to speak with you. I love being able to collaborate with you all!

Happy Early Thanksgiving! I hope you all have an enjoyable week off with family and friends. Tomorrow we will be having our Thanksgiving Party at 10:50. You are welcome to come, but it is very infomal. The kids will be doing a craft and having a snack. I am so thankful for your incredible children!

Don't forget! Tomorrow is our Vista Grande Fun Run! Our first graders will be running from 9:00am to 9:30am. We hope to see you there cheering from the sidelines. Don't forget to turn in all pledges by Friday. The class will be having funny sock day on Friday to celebrate.
