We are incredibly excited to welcome our students back to campus, tomorrow! In light of the fact that we will not be allowing visitors on campus, we have some reminders and information to share with you in terms of traffic and drop off.
Many of us have not been on campus in over 18 months so we are trying to be as detailed as possible for everyone’s sake of ease. Please read all of the information below:
- Wednesday, August, 25th is our FIRST day of school and it is also a MINIMUM
- Everyone will need to be picked up at noon.
- There will be no visitors on campus, including the first day of school.
- Masks: Please send your student to school with two extra masks, per day.
- At this time, we require masks for all students.
- Please have your student bring a water bottle.
- If supplies are too heavy for your student, you can drop them in the office in the morning and we will get the bag to the students’ rooms.
- Green Screen is required for daily entry, please use this link.
**In the interest of saving time, please do the screener at home and take a screen- shot to show us here at drop off.
Morning Traffic Drop Off
A reminder only students are allowed on campus. We will have signs posted and teachers present to help in the morning. An illustration of the traffic pattern and the designated waiting areas is attached. All designated waiting areas will be supervised with an adult.
Everyone: Starting at 8:15 a.m. All cars pull into the driveway and enter the drop off line from Golden Meadow Drive, Pull up to the corner near Purpleridge Drive, show green screen to staff. Students exit the vehicles to go to their designated areas and wait for teacher pick up at 8:30 am.
Walkers: Parents can walk their student to the edge of the parking lot. Present green screen, students will walk to their designated grade level area.
TK/Kinder: Enter their side cement area through the top Kinder gate and sit on the yellow lines, each marked with room numbers. If you visited today, you possibly also walked through that side gate.
1st Grade, 1/2 Combo, and McKnight (2nd): Waits in the grass space between the Kindergarten building and Purpleridge Drive.
Loewner (2nd): Waits in the grass space to the left of the office.
3rd Grade: Waits in the grass space front of the Distinguished School mural, near the MPR Gate.
4th and 5th Grade: Walk in through the MPR gate, wait behind the 5th gr. Classrooms, on the black top sitting on designated dots or stars. (No playing while waiting).
Traffic Pick Up
Teachers will walk students to their designated areas for your pick up. We share this for you so you can answer your children’s questions. Again, please do not exit the car. On the first day of school, we will ask for names. Thereafter we will have you display your family name placard- which will go home with your student tomorrow or Thursday.
TK: Students will wait to be called from the cement space behind the gate (where they were dropped off).
Kinder: Students will wait behind the railing in front of the buildings for their car to come through the driveway and have their names called.
1st Grade, 1/2 Combo, and McKnight (2nd): Students will wait for their ride in the grass space between Kindergarten building and Purpleridge Drive.
Loewner (2nd): Students will wait in the grass space to left of the office.
3rd Grade: Students will returns to the grass space in front of the mural and wait for their ride.
4th Grade: Students will wait in the grass on either side of the office
5th Grade: Students will wait in the grass space between Kindergarten building and Purpleridge Drive.
Lunch and Recess Routines
Lunch and Recess Routines will be taught by the teachers. However here is a quick breakdown for purposes of answering questions for your students tonight. We include this as a help to you as many of us have not been on campus in many months.
Recess Snack and Lunch:
TK/K: TK and Kinder students can play in their yard only. Snack and lunch will be at their tables. Students will sit on one side of the table, only.
1st Grade: Students will eat snack and lunch on the blacktop in the circles outside of the portables. Students may play on the 1st and 2nd grade yard, only.
1/2 Combo and 2nd Grade: Students will eat snack and lunch on the blacktop yellow dots behind Room 16. Students may play on the 1st and 2nd grade yard, only.
3rd Grade: Students will eat snack and lunch behind the classrooms (4, 5, and 6) on the blacktop. Students may play on the 3-5th grade yard, only.
4th Grade: Students will eat Snack behind the classrooms (4, 5, and 6) on the blacktop. Students may play on the 3-5th grade yard, only. 4th Grade Students will eat lunch sitting on the lunch tables, all on one side.
5th Grade: Students will eat Snack behind the classrooms (4, 5, and 6) on the blacktop. Students may play on the 3-5th grade yard, only. 5th Grade Students will eat lunch sitting on the steps, all facing out.
