The PTA is excited to host an International Day Festival at Vista Grande on Friday, February 9, 2024!
We are looking for volunteers to create display tables that represent different cultures and/or countries. You can make an informative poster about your culture and/or country, serve small snacks or even have an art activity or game for the kids to play.
Or perhaps you have a community group who would like to perform? Dancing or music work!
Whichever way you chose to participate, we thank you for your help in making this an exciting day for the students of Vista Grande and their families.
Cultural Booth
International Day has many booths representing a wide variety of countries and/or cultures, but we can't do it without you! We need parents and friends to help bring VG's diverse cultures to life. Here are the key booth guidelines:
you may be working with another family or families if you've signed up to represent the same country and/or culture. The maximum number of booths per country is two due to space constraints.
Electrical power is limited; if you would like to be considered for a spot with power, please be sure to note that in the form.
No outside vendors (food trucks, beverage, games, etc. ) are allowed.
Items cannot be sold at the event. They may be given away, but not sold.
Food and beverages cannot be distributed to attendees before 3:30pm. If you are serving food and/or beverages, all items, including home made items, should have ingredients and allergy labels displayed.
Each booth will be provided with a fixed amount to spend (amount will be determined once we have a total booth count). Unfortunately we will not be able to reimburse any amount over the allotted amount. However, you are welcome to donate any additional items you may need for your booth.
Performances
One of the best parts of International Day are the performances ! We will have an area marked off for performances along with seating for guests to enjoy the show. Please note all performances must be appropriate for all students. Performance time should be no more than 10 minutes.
Volunteers
International Day runs on volunteer power! We need many volunteers to help with set up, clean up, and tasks during the event. If you can donate an hour or two of your time, the PTA would be grateful!
