Core Literature Books:
In Literature class for the first trimester we will be reading many core literature books with a range of themes. Here is a list of books for the 2018-2019 school year:
- My Side of the Mountain
- The Incredible Journey
- In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson
- From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler
- Ben & Me
We will also have a variety of units such as, poetry, tall tales and Ready Reading throughout the year.
Homework:
We will introduce our weekly homework packets (Wordly Wise) and continue the packets throughout the year. The Wordly Wise Packets are given over a 2 week time period. Occasionally, the students will have various projects for homework and study guides for tests. Study guides for the tests will be given a week prior to the test.
